Prep Baseball Louisiana: Scout Blog (Week 6)

Alex Armand & Tyler Leary
Prep Baseball Louisiana Staff

Week 6 of the 2024 high school baseball season is now complete, and throughout last week, our staff was able to get out and see several new teams and prospects. Today, we continue our coverage of the 2024 high school season with our updated Scout Blog.  The Louisiana Scout Blog provides insider information and scouting notes from our scouting staff during the high school baseball season. This running blog will feature information on underclass prospects, unsigned seniors, draft prospects, and anything else that is notable.  We will provide a wide range of information, including player evaluations, velocities, pop times, home to first times, and more.

Continue to check back here, as our Louisiana Scouting Staff will add scouting reports, upon the completion of each week.

+ 2027 OF Kaleb Guarisco (Hahnville HS)

Athletic 5'11" 180 lbs. frame.  We're looking forward to seeing many of the state's best and brightest at our Top Prospect Games event later this summer, and we're extremely excited that we'll get to see Guarisco at the event, after seeing him last Thursday against Lutcher.  Both of the arms that Guarisco faced were consistently in the mid-upper 80's and he never looked overmatch.  He grounded out to the right-side in each of his first two at-bats, before delivering a RBI double to RF to extend the Hanville lead.  The pitch was on the inner-half and Guarisco was able to drop the head of the bat to the ball with a direct path and level extension with a smooth one-handed finish.  If Thursday was any indication, the uncommitted freshman looks like one of the better bats that we've seen in the state's 2027 class.
