Hudson Graham
Georgia Scouting Director

The 2024 Georgia high school baseball season is quickly approaching and, as usual, excitement is abound throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Georgia.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in mid-May inside one of Coolray Field, AdventHealth Stadium, or JI Clements Stadium at Georgia Southern University. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Georgia. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews, eventually releasing our Preseason Power 25 rankings that’ll carry us into the opening week of action.

Please keep checking back throughout the season as we will be your one-stop shop for everything related to high school baseball across the state. Each week we will be releasing our Players of the Week and updating the Power 25 rankings.

Our 2024 preseason coverage continues today.

TEAM OUTLOOK

The Falcons had an impressive 25-12 season a year ago, and have some of their biggest pieces returning. Their line up will look a little different, but have two of their biggest bats, Jared Glenn and Reiston Durham returning. Both of these players represented Team Georgia at the future games and are 2 of the top hitters in their respective classes. Glenn will be on of their go to guys on the mound followed by Dale Towe and Ryan Higdon. Towe competes and will give the offense a chance every time out. Senior, Aryan Virani will get called on out of the pen to finish games for the Falcons. He pounds the zone, and is not afraid of the moment when the game is on the line. Mercer commit, David Falloon will patrol the outfield, and be a key bat in the line up. Junior, MJ Allen is had a strong showing in our preseason event, and could have a break out year.  Sophomore Jacob Mayfield is a name to know this spring season. He had an impressive fall, and could easily become one of the biggest power bats in the class with his raw strength. All together the Falcons have the right guys to get back the playoffs and make a run in 2024.
