2021 Spring Team Preview: Lucasville Valley Indians

Team Name: Lucasville Valley Indians
Head Coach: Nolan Crabtree
Division: IV
2019 Record: 14-14
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 6/3

2021 Team Strengths:

  • Starting Pitching
  • Speed
  • Experienced Core

Coach Outlook: "We were fortunate enough that the majority of our players played legion or travel ball last summer. We have a lot of young/inexperienced talent that will mix with an accomplished veteran core. We have the potential to have a very successful season as long as our pitching stays healthy."

Top Returning Players:

  • Andrew Andronis, C/SS/OF, 2021, 5-9/165, R/R… 4 year starter, all district performer. Shawnee St recruit. Career stats, - .350 AVG, 12 2B, 4 3B, 46 R, 22 SB. Excellent athlete with great speed. Has battled injuries but hopes to be healthy and return to an all-district performer this year. Profiles as an outfielder at the next level.
  • Breckon Williams, INF/OF, 2021, 6-3/170, L/R… 4 year starter, has been in contact with a few schools but is not being recruited at this time. Career stats, -.385 AVG, 16 2B, 2 3B, 34 R. Great hitter… Has big time potential at the plate. Is rarely overmatched, can hit to all fields, gap power that is increasing with age.
  • George Arnett, SS/RHP, 2023, 6-1/165, R/R… Sophomore who has yet to play varsity due to covid 19. Played for Ohio Elite last summer. Excellent athlete with good range, steady/consistent glove and accurate arm. Above average bat that makes excellent contact, rarely strikeouts, good speed. Advanced as a pitcher. Very smart, throws 4 pitches for strikes in any count. Average velo with above average potential and excellent breaking ball.
  • Carter Nickel, RHP/OF, 2023, 6-1/185, R/R… Sophomore who has yet to play varsity due to covid 19. Played for post 142 legion last summer. High upside pitcher/athlete with above average velo for his age, which projects to get better with maturity.
  • Hunter Edwards, 1B/OF, 2023, 6-1/195, L/L… Sophomore who has yet to play varsity due to covid 19. Played post 142 legion last summer. Baseball junkie, extremely high effort player with a middle of the order bat. Tireless worker who can hit to all fields with gap power. Power will increase with age and physical maturity.
