Woody Wallace Commits to the University of Cincinnati



Woody Wallace, a 2012 standout catcher from Olentangy Lewis Center, has committed to the University of Cincinnati. 

The compact, 5-10, 180 pound prospect is ranked as the #13 prospect by PBR in Ohio?s class of 2012.

Wallace, who hits from the right side, has surprising power for his size. He shows exceptional bat speed at the plate. This spring, Wallace hit .494 with 5 homeruns for Olentangy Lewis Center, who was regularly ranked amongst the top ten Division II teams in the state.

Wallace was named 1st team all district in Central Ohio as well as Division II Central Ohio District Player of the Year. In addition, he was named 1st team All-OCC and Co-Player of the Year in the OCC.

Wallace joins his Ohio Elite summer teammate, first baseman Jeff Murray (Reynoldsburg), as the third prospect from Ohio to commit to Coach Cleary and the Cincinnati Bearcats.
