Uncommitted Senior Spotlight

Edwin Allen is a 2024 OF out of Cardinal Gibbons HS in the Triangle area. Allen was a consistent performer in 2023 who continued to see his metrics tick up while also seeing their application in game settings rise as well.  A good athlete, Allen has run a sub-6.90 sixty while also turning in advanced average bat speed numbers with an exit velocity over 93mph. While right handed hitting outfielders can be some of the final prospects to complete college rosters, look for Allen to be a prospect that could impact a college roster when he sets foot on campus.

Scouting Report

From 2023 Carolina Senior Games West:

Average frame at 5-foot-11, 175 pounds. Good bat speed with high end thump when on the barrel. 92.2 mph max exit velocity. Two singles in the game play, both to the pull side, working flat through contact. Ran a 4.39 on a ground ball to short. Near the top of the leader boards in both the 60 and vertical jump.

From the 2023 PBR NC Top Prospect Games:

5-foot-11, 175-pound frame. Balanced in the box, no stride with a short path and level swing path. LIned balls to both gaps during BP, top exit velocity at 93.8 mph, average EV at 88.7 mph. Ran a 6.91 laser timed 60.
