2017 TEAM PREVIEW: Batesville bulldogs

Head Coach: Justin Tucker
Class: 3A
2016 Record: 10-10
Conference (2016 Record):  EIAC 6-8
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 7/2

2017 Team Strengths:

• Offense
• Baserunning 

Top Returning Players:

• Zach Britton, C/OF, 2017: .444BA 12XBH 26R (right)
• Jacob Christie, 3B/C, 2017: .333BA 15RBI
• Trey Heidlage, MIF, 2019: .364BA 10XBH

Outlook:  Coach Tucker enters his second season as the head coach at Batesville following a 10-10 record last year.  Zach Britton (Louisville commit) will be a force in the middle of the lineup again this season after hitting .444 and scoring 26 runs last season.  Jacob Christie, a 3 year starter, will also be a key leader for the Bulldogs. Batesville will need to replace a majority of the innings on the mound, but have some young talent that can fill the role.
