2017 TEAM PREVIEW: mount vernon marauders

Head Coach: Ryan Carr
Class: 4A
2016 Record: 18-9
Conference (2016 Record):  Hoosier Heritage - 9-5
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 3/6

2017 Team Strengths:

Top Returning Players:

• Ryan Beck, SS/RHP, 2017
• Brayden Augustinovicz, C, 2017
• Luke Smoot, 3B/C/P, 2017
• Cooper Williams, OF/RHP, 2019
• Caleb Rush, P, 2018

Outlook:  Mount Vernon (Fortville) brings back 6 pitchers into 2017 including Ryan Beck and Caleb Rush.  The Maruaders have a strong senior class with experience on the mound and in the lineup.  Coach Carr expects the newcomers to fill big roles as well.  Mount Vernon should be able to compete at the the top of the Hoosier Heritage conference.
