From July 25th to July 30th, the Prep Baseball Report staff will run the PBR Junior Future Games at the state-of-the-art LakePoint Sports Complex in Emerson, Georgia.

The 10th Annual Invitation-Only event will feature the best identified 2027-2028 prospects from across the PBR Coverage Area in a five-day event at LakePoint Sports in Emerson, GA. Participants will be given the unique opportunity of competing against other top-level players while representing their respective state in a high-level atmosphere.

This event will run in conjunction with the PBR Future Games. The Future Games features the top uncommitted players in the Class of 2025 and 2026 from across the Prep Baseball Report’s 40+ state coverage area. It is one of the most highly recruited events of the summer and attracts more than 300 college coaches from across the country each year.

This one-of-a-kind event will include individual workouts and a 4-game guarantee with single elimination bracket play to determine a champion in each age group.

+ OF/LHP Drew Jackson III (American Christian, 2028) earns his spot once again on the daily top performers article as he paced the way offensively and provided a big hit for Team Alabama 13U in their quarterfinal win in the Gold Bracket. Coming up with the bases loaded and the game still in the balance in the middle innings, Jackson III worked a long, quality at-bat running the count to full and promptly laced a fastball into the pull-side gap to clear the bases for a three-RBI triple to extend the team’s lead. That big swing would go on to be the difference in the ballgame and helped punch their ticket in the semifinals. The left-hander yields a heavy barrel through the zone with ability to lag; also a quality southpaw on the mound with a high-spin, low-80s fastball.

+ 3B Lawson Hare (Auburn, 2027) is an intriguing rising freshman that possesses solid skills all-around and showcased them well through the entirety of the week. Listed at 6-foot-0, 160-pounds, Hare is an athletic prospect with a wiry frame that will obviously continue to develop and add strength. The rising freshman had quality at-bats throughout the week, but his biggest swing came on a ringing two-RBI double into the pull-side gap that allowed Team Alabama 14U (1) to regain the lead in a back-and-forth contest against Connecticut 14U. The lean right-hander stepped up to the plate with no outs and a pair of runners on 1st & 2nd, and ambushed a first-pitch fastball into the LCF gap. Hare has a simple right-handed swing with some present bat speed, and was solid all week long defensively on the infield.

+ C Tyler West (Helena, 2027) made a quick impression on our staff during the workout with elite catch-and-throw skills from the crouch, and also made a sizable impact offensively for Team Alabama 14U (1) throughout the rest of the week. Listed at 5-foot-8, 145-pounds, the rising freshman has a compact frame with some strength to his build. From the right side of the plate, the backstop has a compact stroke with good rhythm throughout his operation. He showcases a mostly line drive approach and is a quality defender behind the plate with consistent sub-2.0 pop times during the workout. During a back-and-forth contest against Connecticut in the Gold Bracket, West enjoyed a solid offensive output going 2-for-2 with an RBI and two runs scored.

+ 3B Robbins Lowe (Huntsville, 2028) was another player that provided a strong offensive output for Team Alabama 13U in their quarterfinal win in the Gold Bracket. Lowe, a strong-bodied 5-foot-11, 180-pounder, turned in a 2-for-2 effort at the plate with a double, single, and three RBIs for his team. The right-hander got his team out to an early lead in the first inning of the contest, when he laced a ball into the pull-side gap for a loud two-RBI double. In his next at-bat, he stepped back up and drove home another run on an RBI single. The corner infielder, like Jackson III, enjoyed a multi-hit performance accumulating those hits when his team only had five total hits in the contest. He creates tons of separation with the hands and has shown flashes of power potential for the future.
