PBR: Why did you choose Wright State?

Pauley:I chose Wright State because I felt like I could grow as a student and as player there while being close to home. I connected well with the Coaching Staff, loved the field and other facilities and thought it was a good fit for me overall.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Pauley:I was considering Tennessee Tech, Cincinnati, and UNC-Charlotte.

PBR: You have made your commitment very early.  Why did you chose to make your decision so soon and are you finished with the recruiting process?

Pauley: I made my decision early because it was a pretty stressful process and I am very happy with my decision. I am glad  to be done with it so now I can just focus on getting better.

PBR:  You recently attended PBR’s Top Prospect Showcase.  How did that help you in the recruiting process?

Pauley: It helped me out a lot! It gave me a great opportunity to be in front of  D1 schools that I was interested in.

PBR: Now that you have your commitment out of the way, what are your goals both individually and for the team going into your senior season?

Pauley: I want to help my high school team get its 3rd straight district championship and to compete for the state title. Personally my goal is to get drafted out of high school.

PBR: How does it feel to be a part of a Division 1 baseball program?

Pauley: It's a dream come true that's for sure. Just blessed to be in this position.

PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was the most memorable experience from this summer?

Pauley:I play for Ohio Elite Ratcliff. Most memorable experience for me was to be with my teammates in Atlanta, Georgia for the Perfect Game 17u National Tournament. It did rain a lot  but it was awesome to play against such good competition.

PBR:  What person has the great impact on your baseball career and why?

Pauley: My whole family has sacrificed so much for me to make it to every game and to play the best competition and I'm very thankful for that. My Dad is the one who has had the biggest impact on me as a baseball player.

PBR: What were your stats this spring season at Thomas Worthington?

Pauley: My record was 8-2, 63 IP,65 K's, 1.77 ERA.

PBR: Who is the toughest hitter that you have faced in Ohio?

Pauley: I've faced a lot of good hitters its hard to pinpoint one specifically.
