Junior College Baseball in New Jersey is among the best in the country year in and year out. Routinely home to top 10 programs nationally, New Jersey boasts some of the most accomplished JUCO teams and players.

This year, Rowan-Gloucester, Brookdale CC, and Cumberland CC were all ranked in the top 10 for JUCO Division III, and are all about an hour apart from each other.

Rowan-Gloucester took the Region XIX Championship, in convincing fashion over Brookdale in the finals, 7-1.

2017 Washington Township product C Alex Gattinelli, a Coastal Carolina recruit, took home Tournament MVP honors.

Gattinelli leads the team in home runs (12), RBI (65), and is second in hits (72) and doubles (16). 2018 Washington Township HS product Lorenzo Morello leads the team in hits (76), doubles (21) and batting average (.409). Monmouth recruit Jake Catalano, a St. Augustine alum, is batting .349 and leads the team in stolen bases with 18.

The pitching staff is led by Coastal Carolina recruit and Highland Regional alum Nick Yoder and Delaware recruit and Kingsway alum Mike Biasiello. Jack Billings, a St. Augustine alum from 2018, is pitching at a 2.20 ERA while Matt Stil, a Cherokee alum, has thrown 22.1 innings and struck out a staggering 42 batters.

The Roadrunners head to the NJCAA Division III World Series in Greenville, Tennessee this weekend.
