Prep Baseball Report

Underclassmen Spotlight: Sam Flamini

Today, we catch up with an Underclassmen, Sam Flamini, INF, Joliet Catholic HS, Class of 2015.

FlaminiPBR: Have you ever attended a Prep Baseball Report event?  If so what were your impressions of the event?
Flamini: Yes, I attended the underclassmen invite showcase back in January. I thought it was a well-run event and a good opportunity to showcase my abilities with other top players.

PBR: What is your biggest strength as a player?
Flamini: I feel that my biggest asset is my bat, but I have worked very hard this past offseason on improving my glove.

PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what are you most excited about this summer?
Flamini: I play for Elite Baseball Training’s 15U Team. I am extremely excited to see some of the top competition in the country this summer.

PBR: What are your goals both individually and for your summer team for the rest of spring and summer?
Flamini: My goals from here on out are to continue to play well and to continue to build momentum throughout the summer season, and hopefully help my team win tournaments.

PBR: What is your most memorable moment in baseball so far in your life?
Flamini: Well I have had several good moments in previous years, but this year’s would have to be hitting a long home run at Mount Carmel’s Haggerty Field. The ballpark had a great feel, and I think that I’ll remember it for a long time.

PBR: What are your stats so far in the High School season?
Flamini: I haven’t been keeping track, but I’m hitting the ball hard with more power than I did last year.
