PBR: How does it feel to have your college commitment out of the way?

Moriarty: Having my college commitment out of the way is great. Its a huge sigh of relief and one less thing me and my family does not have to worry about. Also I can just focus on playing baseball.

PBR: Who influenced or helped you through the college recruiting process?

Moriarty: Honestly I really was not influenced by anybody. UConn has always been my dream school ever since I started thinking about colleges and right when they started recruiting me I knew if everything worked out it was going to be a wrap and I was going to go there.

PBR: What was the determining factor in your final college choice?

Moriarty: The determining factor was I was in love with the school and the coaching staff there is awesome. Also the vibes I got from all of the people there when I went on my visits was very positive and everybody there expects you to work very hard and they push you to be your best. Also I had many people who had played baseball there tell me it was the best decision of their life, guys like Pete Fatse and Nick Ahmed who's opinions I respect a lot.

PBR: What are you personal and team goals for the upcoming season?

Moriarty: My personal goals are pretty clear with is play great defense and be a very productive hitter, and just keep getting better. My Team goals are simple to win wmass title and then win a state title or make it to the super 8. I will take either or.

PBR: What will be your focus of improvement to get yourself ready for college baseball?

Moriarty: To improve my game I just want to get better everyday physically and mentally. Therefore I will continue to work out at AP player development with Pete Fatse and get bigger and stronger at Conca sports and fitness with Steve Conca.

PBR: Who has influenced you baseball career and off the field performance so far in your lifetime?

Moriarty: When I need baseball guidance I look to my summer ball coach Pete Fatse. He is a tremendous coach and really knows me as a player and having him as a resource has been huge. My parents have been instrumental in my life, they go to all my games they bring me to all my games and are very supportive of my decisions.
