UNDERCLASS PLAYERS TO WATCH
2016 Dan Hansen, 3B/1B/RHP, will be the Pirates #1 pitcher and will hit in the middle of the line-up. Hansen impressed PBR with his performance last week at the Preseason All-State event. 2016 Kyle Schnobrich, CF/RHP,  who was projected to be the starting center fielder tore his ACL during football season and may miss the spring campaign.

X-FACTOR
The Pirates lost 8 starting position players and 4 pitchers who threw considerable innings from their 2014 squad. Currently in a re-building cycle and will need young players to step up their game.

2015 OUTLOOK
"We enter the season with many question marks after losing 15 seniors from a year ago. We do return one of our top players from 2014 in versatile Senior Captain Andy Brown. Andy will be one of our top pitchers and hitters as well as our starting catcher in 2015. We also return one of better juniors in the league- Danny Hansen who should be our top pitcher and one of better bats in the line-up. When he isn't pitching he plays an above average 3B and will be looked at as a team leader. Early in the season a number of players will have an opportunity to win positions and some of these players could be very young. Our program is in a re-building cycle and hope to be competitive as we grow in the next few seasons. It's a new and fun challenge as we start the development of young Pirate ballplayers."
