Team Georgia 14u 2: Game Two Recap

It is day two of the PBR Junior Future games and team Georgia is coming off a strong win against Minnesota. The boys were back in action today against Arkansas. Georgia didn't take any time scoring some runs today, putting up 5 runs in the bottom of the 2nd. This included a 2 run RBI single from Malachi Butler. Butler had himself a day going 2 for 3 being a crucial part of the Georgia offense. The runs slowed down but Georgia was still able to put up 1 more in the 5th. This run was from a single by Jakob Gonzalez who then stole second before the next pitch was even thrown. Miles Norman took the mound first for Georgia today. Pitching 3 innings and letting in only 2 runs to keep Georgia on top. Norman had 3 different pitch types being able to keep batters guessing. Aden Rucker followed pitching 2 innings and letting in 2 runs. Rucker also had 3 different pitch types including his deceiving curve ball. Jakob Gonzalez wrapped up the game for Georgia not letting in any more runs. Gonzalez had deceptive arm action and his fastball got up to 79. Georgia came out on top beating Arkansas 6 to 4. The boys are looking to stay undefeated this weekend as they finish out pool play tomorrow against Oklahoma.
