PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you?

Born: The following schools have expressed interest in me:

South Dakota State, Winona State, Minnesota St. Mankato, St. Cloud State, Sioux Falls, Augustana, and St. Olaf

PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future?

Born: I have not been invited for any "official" visits but have attended prospect camps for St. Cloud State, Minnesota State, and South Dakota State.  I've been invited by Winona State to practice with the team this September and look forward to a St. Olaf campus visit with Coach McDonald also in September.

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)

Born: I am looking for a bigger school that has a competitive and welcoming baseball program.  I am undecided as to what major I will pursue but that will, of course, be a contributing factor.

PBR: What were some of your highlights during your sophomore year?

Born: My sophomore year was a lot of fun for me and the team. I batted in the 4 or 5 spot all season and we beat Edina and Eden Prairie in the Section Playoffs in which I was named All-Section for the second year in a row.  I led the team in batting and was named All-Conference.  Summer baseball was a blast, our VFW team won the state championship!

PBR: What are your goals for this year?

Born: My goals for the upcoming year are to be the best captain I can be by serving others and creating new team traditions.  As a leader I will focus on and encourage others to never stop competing, play without fear, and give our best to the team. As a hitter, I would like to increase my bat speed by taking tension out of my shoulders and to hit balls to all fields.  As a fielder, my goal is to get into a stronger ready position, increase my flexibility, and improve my footwork on slow rollers and balls down the line.

PBR: Do you play any other sports?

Born: I am currently starting at WR on the Chaska Hawks varsity football team.  I played JV basketball as a sophomore and look forward to playing intramural basketball with my friends again this winter.

PBR: What is your ACT and GPA?

Born: My ACT score is 23 and my current GPA is 3.0
