J.T. Rogoszewski gave the Redskins six innings of solid work on the mound allowing one earned run on seven hits while striking out seven. Connor Adams came on in the seventh to keep Winfield off the scoreboard to help put the finishing touches on a Hurricane 9-1 win.

Adams was the hitting star going 3-for-4 with a double, a home run and five RBI. Trey Dawson, Alexander Dunham and Zach Pate chipped in with two hits each to fuel the 12 hit attack for the Redskins. Jordan Clark went 3-for-4 for Winfield in a losing effort.

Winfield drops to 8-13 with the loss while the Redskins improve to 17-3 with the win.
