Henderson State lands another PBR Top Prospect Partcipant

By: Zac Bottoms
Arkansas Scouting Director

2016 OF/RHP Jordan Reed committed to Henderson State earlier this week. The 6-foot-2 outfielder attends North Little Rock HS. He had a strong junior campaign landing him an invite to our Top Prospects Games at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale on June 1st and 2nd. The rest of his summer he spent playing for East Coast Sox. At the end of August he attended the Unsigned Senior Games at Hendrix College. Below you will see our write up from the Unsigned Senior Games.

Jordan Reed, OF North Little Rock HS
Reed is a 6-foot 175-pound outfielder with a large frame and an athletic build. He is a solid defender with fluid footwork with a smooth exchange and an accurate arm. He threw the ball 84 mph from the outfield. He ran a 7.19 in the 60. Offensively he starts from a tall stance with a smooth load. He attacks the baseball with a compact swing that produces exit velocity up to 89 mph. His swing allows him to keep the barrel in the hit zone for a long time, giving him the ability to hit the ball to all fields. Overall Reed is a solid player that needs to add strength. As he adds strength he will be able to hit the ball for doubles power.
