Conference play is under way in Colorado.  Here is a look at yesterday's action from around the state.

Grandview (4-2) 10 Cherry Creek (5-2) 4
Behind some timely hitting and clutch pitching from Grant Schroeder (2016) the Wolves are beating the Bruins 10 to 4 going into the bottom of the 7th inning.  The game was not finished, in the bottom of the 7th inning it began to rain.  We will have to wait and see what CHSAA decides with regards to them finishing the game.  Grandview and Cherry Creek play again Thursday at Grandview. 

Broomfield (2-4-1) 3 Rocky Mountain (3-4) 2
Rocky Mountain put up 10 hits to Broomfield’s 6, but could only put 2 runs on the board.  Broomfield’s Matt Turner (2017) was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s and Walter Pennington (2016) was 2 for 3 with the other RBI.  Pennington was also on the mound for 5 innings, he gave up 8 hits, 2 earned runs and struck out 9.

Lakewood (8-3) 11 Chatfield (8-3) 0
Lakewood had 11 runs on 15 hits, and help Chatfield to just 1 hit.  Lakewood’s Chase Powell (2016) pitched all 5 innings giving up just 1 hit and striking out 3.

Legacy (6-1) 4 Fossil Ridge (3-6) 3
Legacy’s Colby Deaville (2017) and Ryan Overboe (2018) each had 2 hits and each had 1 RBI, as Legacy beat Fossil Ridge on Tuesday.

Columbine (5-6) 7 Pomona (4-7) 2
The Rebels were led by Chase Anderson (2017) who went 3 for 4 scoring 2 runs and knocking in 2 RBI’s.

Mullen (6-3) 2 Eaglecrest (2-4) 1
Eaglecrest scored 1 run in the first, and Mullen answered with 2 runs, and then nothing but zero’s for the final 6 innings.  Rocco Porreco (2017) went 7 innings allowing just 3 hits, 1 run, and 12 K’s.

Berthoud (6-5) 9 Green Mountain (4-4) 8
Berthoud was down 8 to 7 going into the bottom of the 7th inning and put up a 2 spot to beat Green Mountain on Tuesday.
