Prep Baseball Report

Welcome to PBR Colorado

Colorado We Got it Covered

With great pleasure, we bring to you Prep Baseball Report Colorado. Our mission in Colorado mirrors that of our other state-specific coverage: to provide the most comprehensive in-state information, to promote high school baseball and, ultimately, help Colorado prep athletes achieve their dreams of playing baseball at the next level. Our goal is to be the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in Colorado.

Although it will take some time to achieve the status of our other 11 states, we are certain we have the right person to thoroughly, accurately and honestly cover Colorado:

John Cackowski.

Few know Colorado’s prep baseball landscape better than Cackowski. He has been a fixture in the Centennial State for nearly three decades, including the last 21 years as a high school coach. A 1992 graduate of Highlands Ranch High School in Colorado, Cackowski is finishing up his eighth year as head coach of the perennial Colorado power. Among his many honors, Cackowski’s teams made consecutive final four appearances in 2011 and 2012, and was ranked nationally by Baseball America as high as 18th in 2012.  In his eight years at Highlands Ranch, he coached 32 players who have continued on to play college baseball, including three who were drafted.

Cackowski, who also coached at ThunderRidge High School, serves as a task force member and scout for USA Baseball, in which he helps identify national team candidates for the mountain west region. Cackowski played at Colorado Northwestern CC, and got his BA from Colorado State. Cackowski went on to get his MA at Colorado University Denver.

Now Cackowski will bring his expertise and experience to Colorado’s prep baseball scene. Cackowski will work tirelessly to bring to you the most comprehensive high school baseball information Colorado has ever seen and provide coverage to all corners of the state. But he can’t do it alone. Please email him a [email protected] with college commitments, relevant news, and top players in your area.

Colorado summer events are already set up at top-flight venues across the state. Prep Baseball Report events are designed to give players the maximum exposure needed to advance to the next level. Not only will players receive high-level exposure from college coaches, but all players at events will be videotaped, and the edited performance will be hosted online. All players’ profiles, verified statistics and scouting reports can be searched in our expansive player database.

Our flagship state, Prep Baseball Report Illinois, was launched in 2005. Over the last 10 years, the Prep Baseball Report has evolved into the authoritative voice of high school baseball in Illinois. More than 450 colleges and pro scouts now subscribe to the Prep Baseball Report multimedia services. In 2008, we took the same promotional model to Indiana, and have since expanded into Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Kentucky, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Kansas, and New York.

Now, we are thrilled to be your No. 1 source of high school baseball in Colorado.
