Freshmen Free Showcase: Roster & Check-In Times

The Prep Baseball Report Freshmen Free Showcase will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas high school in Hammond, LA, and will take place on Sunday, September 10, 2017.
The recruiting process has accelerated dramatically in recent years, to the extent that many prospects have been giving verbal commitments early in their sophomore years. The Freshmen Free Showcase will help sort out the top 2021s in the state as they enter their freshmen year of high school.
Additionally, the event will be used as an identifier for next year’s PBR Future Games, which is the premier summer scouting event for incoming sophomores andjuniors. The PBR Future Games, which is powered by adidas, is a free event that features the top underclass prospects from our 30-plus states. Last year’s PBR Future Games had over 250 college coaches from all over the country in attendance.

Check-in for position players will begin at 12:20 PM and the event will begin promptly at 1:00 PM. Position players will go through a pro-style workout, which includes: run times, defensive evaluation with positional velocity, swing analysis with exit velocity and round of batting practice.
Pitchers only will check-in from 3:00 PM – 3:20 PM.
As always, players will have their performances video-taped and hosted on the Prep Baseball Report multi-media platform that is subscribed to by over 800 college coaches and professional scouts.
