TEAM STRENGTHS
Glenelg has a nice core of players returning that are going to contribute immensely to the team.  Seniors Colby Manekin (Salisbury), Matt Sheehan, and Dylan Farnella are three key returners.  Manekin, a .386 career hitter for the Dragons, will jump start the offense and create runs with his speed on the bases. He will contribute on the mound as well. Sheehan hit .356 last year and reached base in almost half of his plate appearances.  Farnella leads the pitching staff coming off a 7-3 season with a 3.50 ERA. He also contributed on offense hitting over .350.

QUESTION MARK
GCS’s biggest question is whether they can adequately replace seven highly productive players who graduated last year.  Replacing that many returners will be tough and having to replace that experience is even tougher. Coach Garber is confident that a number of new players are ready to accept the challenge and thinks that juniors Tim Oh, Andrew Schreffler, James Seiferth, Tim Davis, and Matt Siskind are several candidates to take on these roles.

WILDCARD
Brendan Grady and Will Bartlett are two sophomores that look to contribute to the team in 2015.  Both could wind up being run producers in the middle of the GCS batting order. Grady has a chance to contribute on the mound as well for the Dragons.

OVERALL
The Dragons look to reload the talent this year in the MIAA B conference.  They have made four consecutive appearances in the “B” conference playoffs, and want to make it five.  Even though they have some experience they will need to replace, Glenelg still has a good core of returners and young talent that should mesh as the season progresses.
