TEAM STRENGTHS
The Westminster pitching staff will be headed up by ace Brandon Martin, a Fordham commit and currently ranked in the top 400 players in the 2016 class in the PBR coverage area. The RHP has displayed great arm speed and during his winter workouts Martin has been touching 90 mph in a couple bullpens. The pitching staff in general is a strength as multiple arms have displayed the talent to play in college.

QUESTION MARK
Westminster is a relatively young team and a lot of these young players are going to have to make the adjustment. With the pitching staff, they should be able to keep games close so that should help out the offense at the beginning of the season as they gain experience.

WILDCARD
Matt Saltz is a definition of overcoming adversity.  The young man had a frustrating junior year as he was waiting on a kidney transplant. This year Saltz is completely healthy and marked down as the number two starter in the rotation and the starting shortstop. Already a winner in our book, Saltz looks to have a bounce back season and breakout in 2015.

OVERALL
Look for the Owls pitching to carry the team during the beginning of the season as the offense gets into rhythm. This could be a team that makes a nice second half surge if the offense moves forward.  With a large core of juniors this could be a year Westminster takes a step forward and makes a move in the 3A playoffs.
