With the 2016 spring season right around the corner, PBR Michigan is eagerly anticipating bringing the great state of Michigan the best high school coverage throughout the entire state.

Starting February 1st, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2016 Spring Team Preview: Britton Deerfield Patriots

Team Name: Britton Deerfield Patriots
Head Coach: Jared Janssen, 20-13
Division: IV
2015 Record: 20-13
Conference Record: Tri-County Conference, 9-5
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 6/3

2016 Team Strengths:

• Pitching
• Speed
• Top five bats
• Infield defense

2016 Team Weaknesses:

• Outfield defense
• Experience with bottom three bats

Coach Outlook: We will rerun six starters from a team that won 20 games last season. Our strengths will include pitching, speed, and our infield defense. We need to replace most of our outfield and will look to play more small ball this season.
