PBR MN Winter Open

Although the MN weather has held true to its form by hitting us with some arctic air, many uncommitted prospects are ramping up their training as they look to add to their stock this spring. One such prospect is Totino Grace senior SS/RHP Daniel Claussen. Claussen remains one of the top uncommitted two-way players who flashes upside in both realms. In the field, a combination of active feet and above average arm strength (83mph from SS) are two of his greatest assets. Improved range and glove work could see him rise up the SS rankings this spring. The base of good body control at the plate makes the small adjustments to stay through the ball easily achievable and should produce more gap-to-gap power. On the mound the righty sits lower 80's, which with his natural arm strength, could see the mid-80's with more direct to the plate lower half drive. Two above average off speed pitches (CB, CH) are both thrown hard and compliment the FB well. We wish the best of luck to Dan in the spring and in the future!
