Jake Generali, MIF/OF, Bethlehem Central HS, NY (2015)
Generali stands 5-foot-9, 175-pounds with a lean, but solid frame. From the infield he uses quick footwork, evidenced from his 4.19 home to first time, stays behind ball, quick exchanged, short arm, fast release from a mid-3/4 slot arm strength at 78 mph. At the plate he uses a back load, leg lift and stride on the pitch. Bottom arm locks up on the load. Drives hands to the ball, bat plane is level through the plane, some extension through contact, shoulder height finish, falls forward. Pro agility time was 4.18 showing above average athleticism.

Analysis:
This unsigned senior definitely has the tools to play at the next level. He’s a little raw, but his numbers speak differently. From the outfield he moves swiftly to the ball, fields out in front cleanly with a fast exchange and a quick release resulting in 85 mph arm strength from a high-3/4 slot. Generali is very athletic showing a strong home to first time of 4.19 as well as his pro agility time being at 4.18. Offensively he’s pretty solid with an exit velocity at 75 mph, but with some work this offseason I can see that number increasing tremendously. I expect big things out of this unsigned senior.
