Rockwall heath vs. tyler lee - 03.14.17

In the District Opener, Rockwall Heath defeated Tyler Lee 7 - 1 behind the pitching of 2018 Oklahoma State Commit LHP Kaden Krowka. Krowka pitched 6 strong innings, giving up 1 run, 4 hits, 3 K and 3 BB on 90 pitches. 2018 C Cole Stilwell led Heath with a 1B, 2B and 3 RBI. Despite being walked 3 times, 2017 Arkansas commit Canaan Smith drove a 2B to left center, driving in a run. 2017 Panola JC commit 1B Josh Thurman added an RBI 3B for Heath. Heath played solid defense, only committing 1 error. Tyler Lee Catcher Kade Keener threw out 3 runners attempting to steal 2B.



lakeview centennial vs. south garland - 03.14.17


Lakeview Centennial defeats South Garland in their District Opener 10 - 2 in 5 innings. 2017 Texas Commit Kamron Fields was the starter for Lakeview, pitching 3.2 innings, giving up 1 hit, 0 runs, 1 BB and striking out 5. He struck out the side in the 3rd. Fields not only pitched well, but added a 1-for-3 performance at the plate. Lakeview started the scoring in the 1st inning, scoring 2 runs on 1 hit and 3 South Garland walks. The big inning for Lakeview was the 4th, in which they scored 7 runs, aided by multiple South Garland miscues. Barker was the leading hitter for Lakeview with 2 hits and 3 RBI.
