Coming in at No. 5 on the list for this year’s most-viewed profiles is OF Dillon Head (Homewood Flossmoor, 2023; San Diego Padres). We first got our eyes on Head in the winter of 2018, where he showed to be a sure-fire name to follow before eventually representing the state in the 2019 Junior Future Games.

Throughout his high school career, Head consistently proved to be one of the premier players in the state, and eventually the country. Listed at 6-foot, 180-pounds with lean strength and all sorts of athleticism, Head possesses a smooth left-handed swing with sneaky power at the top of the order. However it's his speed that really takes him to the next level, helping him become an elite defensive center fielder as well as a headache for opposing teams on the basepaths. Head would finish his high school career as the No. 1 player in the state and No. 20 nationally before eventually getting drafted in the first round by the San Diego Padres, making him yet another Illinois high school product to get his name called on the first day of the draft.
