PBR: Why did you choose Augustana?
BARTH: I chose Augustana because it fit me the best school-wise and I loved the baseball program.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
BARTH: St. Thomas, St. Scholastica, and Minnesota State.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
BARTH: He first saw me at the state baseball tournament, he emailed me soon after and I was immediately interested!

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
BARTH: Yes I am relieved, it was a big choice for me but I am happy with it now that it is over.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
BARTH: No, I just really liked everything overall.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
BARTH: For sure my family of course, they're always #1 and I wouldn't be where I am in any aspect of life without them.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
BARTH: It was very overwhelming at first because everyone was coming to me for the most part at once. But in the end it spread out and was very enjoyable and easy for the most part.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
BARTH: The coaching staff said that I will have every opportunity to be the starting shortstop so I am going to work to achieve the starting spot.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
BARTH: I would say qualifying for the VFW state tournament in 2015 with my group of guys I have been playing with ever since I was about 10 years old. That has been the biggest achievement for us as a group.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
BARTH: Marcus Hahn I think is the best player I have ever played against.
