The PBR MN Prospect I.D.- Minnetonka event took place on Wednesday, July 5, 2017. The event was held at Veteran's Field at Minnetonka High School in Minnetonka, MN. The event featured prospects from the 2019 and 2020 classes who showcased their talents in front of our scouting staff.

OUTFIELDER EVALS (ALPHABETICAL)

Dylan Hoffman, LHP/OF, St. Michael-Albertville, 2019
5-foot-8, 144-pound right-handed hitting 2 way player. 7.18 runner. Square stance, knee to knee trigger, shows balance in swing, slashy bat path, consistently finds barrel, line drive and ground ball contact, 77 mph exit velocity. Active in field, works through ball, shows momentum on throws, avg. carry and accuracy to target, 72 mph arm strength from outfield.

Noah Juliar, OF, Burnsville, 2020
5-foot-8, 150-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. 6.99 runner. Square stance, knee to knee trigger, deeper load with arm bar, clean path through contact, flashes pop in bat, gap to gap approach, 81 mph exit velocity. Solid angles and routes, weak front side on throws, elevated to target, accurate to home plate, 76 mph arm strength.

Mitchell Longsdorf, OF, Forest Lake, 2019
5-foot-10, 150-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. 6.82 runner. Open stance, strides to square, raw aggressive swing with slashy plane, pull approach with ground ball contact, 71 mph exit velocity. Shows reads on flyballs, works through baseball with appropriate routes, has momentum on throws, short arm action producing carry and accuracy to target, 84 mph arm strength from outfield.

Nelson Lynch, OF, Osseo, 2019
5-foot-10, 180-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. 7.35 runner. Square stance with some rhythm in load and swing, short to contact, hard ground ball and line drive contact to mid/oppo side of field, 2-hole type hitter with barrel control, 84 mph exit velocity. Works through ball, needs improvement with footwork, high arcing throws to target, 73 mph arm from outfield.

Wyatt Nelson, RHP/OF, Hopkins, 2019
6-foot-1, 178-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Overall projectable player. 6.72 runner. Tall stance, linear actions in box, aggressive swinger, has different sound off bat, flashes sneaky power to pull side of field, line drive approach, 82 mph exit velocity. Solid athlete in field with raw footwork, has above avg. arm, shows carry and accuracy to bag, 86 mph arm from outfield.

Kobe Olson, OF/RHP, Roseville, 2019
5-foot-11, 175-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.75 runner. Wider stance, short load, leg kick trigger, shows extension through contact, solid hitter with flashes of pop in bat, mid/pull approach, 84 mph exit velocity. Aggressive fielder, shows routes to ball, works behind and through baseball, throws have accuracy and carry to target, 87 mph arm from outfield.

Carson Schicker, OF, Irondale, 2019
6-foot, 150-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. Wiry athletic build. 6.46 runner. Ran top 60 in PBR MN events history. Open stance, strides to square, short to contact, spray contact, flashes of hard line drive contact, 76 mph exit velocity. Aggressive fielder, avg. actions, stiffer arm action from H ¾ slot, 80 mph arm from outfield. Top end runner and has athleticism; with instruction and development could be an interesting high-end prospect in the future.

Drew Schmidt, OF, Edina, 2019
6-foot, 195-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. 7.34 runner. Crouched stance, flat line drive swing plane, produces above avg. bat speed, hard line drive contact, mid/pull approach, 88 mph exit velocity. Works hard in field with effort in actions, solid routes and angles, tends to lose momentum when fielding, above avg. accuracy on throws, 74 mph arm from outfield.

Russell Tanner, LHP/OF, Prior Lake, 2019
6-foot-4, 180-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.84 runner. Easy load, short to contact, line drive swing plane, mid/pull approach, avg. bat speed, interesting follow if he can add strength/aggression to swing, 78 mph exit velocity. Shows routes and angles, long arm action, avg. accuracy and carry to target, 75 mph arm from outfield.

Carter Tibbits, OF/RHP, Wayzata, 2020
5-foot-11, 170-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.47 runner. Pre-set body load, triggers swing with rolling hand load and leg kick, shows strength at plate, mid/pull approach with consistent hard contact to pull side of field, 85 mph exit velocity. Avg. momentum through baseball, shows avg. routes and angles, projects to improve with development, accurate throws to plate, 78 mph arm strength from outfield.

Adam Weed, OF, Farmington, 2019
6-foot-2, 190-pound left-handed hitting outfielder. Physical athlete with present strength. 6.82 runner. Square balanced stance, some rhythm with hitchy trigger to contact, flares to oppo side, has flashes of pop in bat to pull, 86 mph exit velocity. Works through ball well, needs to set feet before release on throws, arcing path out of hand, 77 mph arm strength from outfield. Projectable build, strong follow in 2019 class, should improve with minor tweaks to game.
