Day 2 of the Central Arkansas Invitational, is in the books. Here is a recap of the games on March 27th.

Sylvan Hills HS vs Watson Chapel HS
2015 RHP/INF Hunter Heslep had a big day for Sylvan Hills High School as they defeated Watson Chapel HS 4-0. Heslep went 1 for 3 with a RBI’ and a run scored. On the mound he was very effective throwing a complete game shout out. 2017 RHP Hayden Arnold threw well pitching 6 innings giving up 4 earned runs over six innings while striking out 8.

Arkadelphia HS vs Kickapoo HS
Arkadelphia lost to Kickapoo HS out of Missouri 11-6. Kickapoo jumped out to an early 5-0 lead. The Badgers battled back to cut the lead to 5-4 in the 5th. Kickapoo quickly answered back putting up three runs to put the game away. Arkadelphia received a big day from 2016 3B Ty Koster, he went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double and 4 RBI’s.

Central High HS vs Greenwood HS
Central High School fell 6-4 to Greenwood in a back and forth contest. Greenwood received a solid start from 2015 RHP Kyler Watson who pitched 4 innings giving up 2 earned runs. Central was paced offensively by 2015 middle infielder Lance Nolen who scored two runs. Greenwood advanced to play Greenwood at 8:45 last night.

Catholic HS vs Jacksonville HS
Catholic High School Rallied back from a 7-0 deficit after the 3rd to win 12-8 against Jacksonville High School. Jacksonville came out swinging scoring 4 in the first and 3 more in the top of the third. 2015 OF Ladieous Perry hit a 3 run home run to high light the 3rd inning scoring. Catholic answered back tying the game up in the 5th off a 2016 MIF Joe Myers 2 run home run to make it 7-7. Perry answered back with a solo home run to centerfield. Catholic took advantage of 2 errors and a walk to score 5 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to seal the victory.
