15U Centennial State Games Championship Results

The 3rd annual Centennial State Games will be taking place over two weekends.  June 8-11 featured the 14U-16U divisions of the games.  There were 74 teams participating in the second weekend of the Centennial State Games spread all over the Front Range from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs.  The top 8 teams in the 16U division moved onto the Quarter Finals at Fairview High School, the 15U Quarter Finals were held at Hyland Hills and the 14U Finals were played at Ranum High School.

15U Quarter Finals:

The 15U Quarter Finals took place at Hyland Hills Sports Park and featured 3 out of state teams, 2 Sioux Falls Cyclones teams and DBat Elite from Dallas Texas, along with Trombly Colorado Wade, Thunder Academy, TC Maxwell, Slammers White and the Golden Miners.

Quarter Final Results:

Sioux Falls Cyclones defeats Slammers White

DBat defeats Golden Miners

Thunder Academy defeats Trombly Wade

Sioux Falls Cyclones defeats TC Maxwell

The Semi-Final round moved to Ranum high School with a potential matchup of Soux Falls facing off in the finals.  Dbat trailed 7-2 heading into the last inning of game one before scoring 5 in the 6th to tie it and 2 in the bottom of the 8th to win 9-8.  Sioux Falls Cyclones #1 used 1 hour and 20 minutes to defeat Thunder Academy 2-0.

Sioux Falls Cyclones #1 defeats Thunder Academy 2-0 

In the 15U Final game, DBat Elite jumped out big on Sioux Falls and had a 6-0 lead after 3.  The Cyclones clawed back into the game and made the score 6-4 headed into the 6th inning.  DBat took advantage of a few walks and some timely hitting to stretch the lead out once again and won the game 8-4 claiming the 15U division crown.
