TEAM STRENGTHS
Strong defensive play combined with a deep pitching staff are two key cogs in the South Hagerstown team this upcoming season. The outfield are strong armed and cover ground well combined with a strong returning infield with Landon Buzzerd at catcher, Dylan Bickford at short stop and Zach Martin at third base.

QUESTION MARK
The biggest question is who is going to man the other half of the middle infield for the Rebels. Second base could be a committee of sophomore Dawson Hottinger and freshman Will Stoey. Offense could be another hold up for South Hagerstown. The hitting is there, however they are still looking to fill roles in categories of speed and power. They will be looking for someone to step into some of those roles to alleviate pressure.

WILDCARD
The coaching staff at South Hagerstown has been pleasantly surprised with junior Sawyer Rachor.  The young outfielder spent his first two years on JV and has committed himself to improving his game this off-season and it looks to be helping. He could be a new player to come in and help the team and provide some depth in the outfield.

OVERALL
A very interesting mix is what the Rebels have in 2015. Pitching is usually what separates teams early in the year as all attempt to create an offensive identity and also make up for lack of AB’s in the off-season. South Hagerstown has a good pitching staff that should keep them in games early in the season. With a nice core of younger talent on the roster, will the Rebels make a move in the MVAL? Time will tell.
