With the 2017 spring season right around the corner, PBR Michigan is eagerly anticipating bringing the great state of Michigan the best high school coverage throughout the entire state.

Starting in Mid-March, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2017 Spring Team Preview: St. Clair Shores Lake Shore

Team Name: St. Clair Shores Lake Shore

Coach Outlook: "Will be young with only 4 returning starters, but the leadership of Senior Brandon Wegner and his career hitting average of .425 and two All-District and County appearance will set a standard for success."

PBR Outlook: A year after 25 wins, coach Gates and his Bulldogs look to take the next step in 2017 with a solid core of upperclassmen to go along with talented youth.

Top Returning Players:

  • Brandon Wegner, SS - signed w/Adrian College, 2 year starter; .398 AVG, 12 2B, 2 3B, 2 HR, 22 RBI, 18 Runs, 9 BB 4 SB, .622 SLG.
  • Cam Beydoun, 2B/P - .304 AVG., 3 2B, 15 R and 12 BB
  • Chris Federlein, OF/P - ERA 2.21, 17 K, 5 BB, 1 HBP, 1-1. A Junior who pitched in long relief. Held defending champs to 2 earned runs over 5 innings.

Top Underclassmen:

  • Seth Duty - Junior, C/1B
  • Jake Meyers - Sophomore, 3B
