Michigan Spotlight Game: Bath vs Gabriel Richard - Doubleheader
Father Gabriel Richard swept Bath in a non-conference doubleheader Tuesday, winning 4-1 and 9-6.
2019 Scott McGlade put Gabriel Richard up 1-0 in the top of the first with a RBI single that scored 2018 Matt Granzotto, who led off the inning with a walk.
The teams traded runs in the fourth. 2018 Tyler Herman drove in a run for Gabriel Richard with a single and 2019 Kody Juhas hit a RBI single for Bath.
2019 Connor Ostrowski hit a RBI sacrifice fly in the fifth and 2018 Michael Engelhardt hit a RBI double in the sixth to complete the 4-1 win.
2019 Trey Nordmann started on the mound for Bath in game one and went five innings, allowing four hits while striking out four.
Game 2
2017 Scott Granzotto started game two for Gabriel Richard and was light out, striking out eight of the nine batters he faced in three perfect innings.
Granzotto, 2-3 with three RBIs, and McGlade, 2-3 with a RBI double, led the way at the plate as Gabriel RIchard held a 9-0 lead after 4 innings.
Bath mounted a comeback in the fifth, scoring 6 runs, but the rally ultimately fell short. 2017 Drew Coulter hit a two RBI double in the inning.
