Pre-Season Preview: Shepherd HS (Tri-Valley Central Conference)

By Mike Penn
Michigan Scouting Director

Shepherd High School had a great season last year.  Coach Jack Nartker led his squad to a 29-8 record including an 11-3 record in conference play. However 2013 should prove to be difficult.

Shepherd graduated 10 players in 2012, 8 of which were starters. In 2013, Shepherd will be extremely young and inexperienced team placing an emphasis on rebuilding.  Most likely they will carry only one senior on the team.  They will rely upon their upcoming juniors to fill rolls and progress quickly if they are going to have a chance at knocking of conference champion Midland Bullock Creek.
