OUTLOOK
The Cape Central Tigers will ride the broad shoulders of their ace pitcher, Chase Hagerty, in 2015.  The Southeast Missouri recruit finished his junior season with a 1.30 ERA, fanning 71 batters in 54 innings pitched.  Although, Hagerty projects as a pitcher, his bat will also be a big factor in the Tigers success.  Hagerty cranked three home-runs and drove in eleven as a junior.  Cape Central will also turn to Senior Josh Morse for an offensive spark.  Morse batted .257 with 14 RBI last season. The Tigers will also have two underclassmen to keep an eye on.  Junior CF Brock Baugher and Sophomore Jacquen Cummins.  Baugher, a lefty hitter, finished his sophomore season with a .289 batting average and Cummins saw varsity time as a freshman.  The Tigers will competing in the pitching-filled SEMO Conference, and the bats will have to produce.  Cape Central will be challenged in early April with five games in the USA Classic in Memphis, Tennessee. The tough regular season schedule should prepare them for their run a district championship.
