OUTLOOK
The Jefferson City Jays will lean on the senior and sophomore class in 2014. Adam Gruden and Travis Hennessy are two seniors with college commitments.  Gruden is a 1B/RHP committed to play at Longview  and Travis Hennessy is  RHP that will taking his talents to Butler Community College in Kansas.  The Jays will also feature two other seniors in RHP Bret Jeagers and F Jake Pridgin.  Jaegers is a big frame at 6-foot-4 with a high three-quarters release that should eat up innings for the Jays in 2015.  Pridgin is a lefty stick at the plate and sub-7 runner in the outfield.  This group of seniors will be ready to lead the younger crop of talent coming up for Jays. The sophomore class has a quartet of players that will give Jeff City a chance to take the next step in the spring.  SS Grant Wood and LHP Jacob Weirich are two players in the 2017 class to keep your eye on.  The Jays will open at home on March 21 against 2014 Class 3 State Qualifier Fatima before traveling to to the Willard Tournament March 26-28.
