Lorenzo Horvath, C, Christian Brothers Academy, NY (2015)
Standing 5-foot-8, 170-pounds Horvath has a solidly built lower half. Behind the dish he receives the ball smoothly, wide and large target. On his throws to second he shortens the distance to second by stepping in front of the plate having a pop time of a 1.98. At the plate he uses a wide setup. On the pitch he loads back, leg lift for timing, short path to the ball, slightly inclined through the zone, extension through contact, shoulder height finish.

Analysis:
Horvath is small in stature but extremely talented behind the dish. While making some adjustments after his first PBR showcase, Horvath shortened up his hands giving him a quicker and more fluid transfer resulting in a 1.98 pop time. His blocking has seen some serious improvement as well, he gets to ball with ease while softening his upper half on impact. Offensively he has quick strong hands with an exit velocity at 85 mph, and once he puts on some size I expect to see his numbers increase this spring for Section 2 powerhouse Christian Brothers Academy.
