With the 2018 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting mid-January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2018 Spring Team Preview: Rittman Indians

Team Name: Rittman Indians
Head Coach: Joe Staley
Division: IV
2017 Record: 13-13
Conference Record: Wayne County Athletic League, 4-10, 7th
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 5/2

Team Strengths:

Coach Outlook: “We play in a very competitive league that had 4 teams reach the district finals. We dropped back to D-IV after being the smallest school in division 3 the last 2 years. We have a very good #1, and it will be our coaching staff's job to make sure we have a solid #2. If we can improve our defense, I believe our pitching can keep us in games.”

PBR Outlook: Rittman and coach Joe Staley make a move back to division IV in 2018 after being in division III the last few seasons. With a solid ace on the hill in Kaleb Bauman look out for the Indians come tournament time.
