Initial Oklahoma Class Of 2017 Rankings

 Andy Urban
Oklahoma State Director

The Oklahoma Class of 2017 is one the most talented senior classes in recent years. Three players made the PBR Draft 100 and nine more are ranked in PBR’s Overall Rankings. Leading the way is SS Ryan Vilade (Stillwater HS, OK), an Oklahoma State recruit and son of the Cowboys’ recruiting coordinator James Vilade. The younger Vilade raised his stock in the fall by performing well with Team USA on the way to a gold medal win. Ranked No. 22 in the country and No. 2 in Oklahoma is OF Conner Uselton (Southmoore HS, OK). Also committed to Oklahoma State, he draws comparisons to Jayson Werth with his long frame and power potential. LHP Mitchell Stone (Deer Creek HS, OK)—yet another Cowboy recruit—stands at 6-foot-9, 240 pounds and runs his fastball into the low 90s. He checks in at No. 3.

Oklahoma still has a pair of talented players in the top 20 taking their time with the decision process. Kaden Polcovich (Deer Creek HS, OK), ranked No. 256 in PBR’s Overall Rankings,is easily one of the top switch-hitters in the country. He de-commited from Oklahoma earlier this fall and has left his recruiting open. Left-handed hitting C Sy Snedeker (Jenks HS, OK) has seen his stock rise steadily throughout the fall, becoming the No. 20 prospect in the state.
