Oxford Area '14 IF Kyle Price
Sun Valley   '15 RHP CJ Pruitt
West Chester Rustin '14 IF Jimmy Brennan (Radford) '14 RHP Andrew Loucks
'14 OF Mark Osis (George Washington)
Unionville '15 OF Drew Jarmuz '14 IF Nick Ward (VCU)

  • A West Chester Rustin offense led by Brennan, Osis, '15 Util Charlie Concannon, and '14 C/OF Frank Siderio (Juniata) should be able to put some runs on the board this spring.  Coach Brad Harkins' pitching staff will have to sort itself out behind Loucks as the season progress.
  • Still developing as a baseball player, Jarmuz is an excellent athlete, while Ward is a grinder who plays above his tools for Unionville.
  • PruittDouble-Duty Pruitt (right) will be no more, as the lanky Sun Valley hurler has given up catching to focus on his mound work.  So far, so good, as he has experienced an increase in velocity as well as developed his secondary stuff heading into this spring.  Coach Kraig Kaufhold will try to navigate the loss of ten seniors by relying on a junior-heavy roster.
  • A rebuilding year may be in store for an Octorara Area team that graduated twelve seniors, including three starting pitchers.  Coach George Hadfield does have some young talent coming through the pipeline including '15 C Derrick McHenry, '16 OF Chase Thomas, and 6-foot-3 '16 LHP Jackson Ray.
  • Price will lead the offense, while '15 RHP Joe Boggs should keep Oxford Area in the ballgame when he toes the rubber.

West Chester East   '15 RHP Culver Hughes (VA Tech)

'14 Util Tyler McCabe

  • Urban

Coach Hal Ziegler will turn to Cummings and '14 OF Brady Carras (Kutztown) to lead a rebuilt Coatesville offense that will rely on speed to generate runs.  '16 C/OF Jared Urban (right) is one versatile young player whose left-handed stick should find him a spot in the line-up.  Command (10 BB, 100 K) and a plus change-up separate Brown, the 2013 PBR PA District I Pitcher of the Year, from his pitching peers.
  • West Chester East will ride the powerful arm of Hughes, with '14 RHPs Sean O'Donnell and Jimmy Maguire providing valuable innings behind him.  Speedster '14 OF Alex Corialos ignites the offense, while '16 2B Ian Street (a varsity starter as a freshman) and '15 C Steve Borum look to continue their offensive maturation under the tutelage of first-year head coach Scott Kelley.
  • MarrolloDowningtown East has one of the deepest pitching staffs in the area, with the ability to use Sigovich and fellow '14 RHP Pierce Greenleaf (Ursinus), plus '15 LHPs Ryan Rumer (Binghamton) and Kyle Ajjan, as well as '16 RHP Max Mattei.  While not physically imposing, '15 OF Tommy Marrollo (right) is a solid athlete who would run through a wall for his team.
  • A three-game losing streak in mid-April left Downingtown West with a .500 record, but they rallied to rip off eight wins in their final eleven contests.  The Whippets look to keep the momentum going this spring behind a veteran pitching staff led by '14 RHPs River Carbone (Maine), AJ Catanese (Wagner), and Esch.
  • GuckinAvon Grove will be led by three '14 arms in Forde, 6-foot-5 RHP Eric Ligda, and LHP Joe Thompson (Mary Washington), whose change-up rivals Brian Brown's for tops in the area.  '14 IF John D'Aquanno (Stevenson) returns to set the table for a line-up that could add talented '16 C Ryan Guckin (right) to the mix.
