BonatestaThe Northern Cambria Colts went 10-9 in 2012, finishing in 3rd place in their conference with a record of 9-5. Returning from that roster are seven starters and four pitchers. Head Coach John Bonatesta likes the fact that the Colts will have a very deep pitching staff. It also doesn't hurt that the Colts have a host of talented young players and two seniors who are coming off fantastic junior years.

While a number of underclassmen are likely to make significant contributions in 2013, two seniors will be the key to the Colts run towards a District 6 Class A Championship. Senior outfielders Josh Bonatesta, a Mount Aloysius commit, and Adam Polites hit .557 and .507 respectively a year ago. Bonatesta had 34 hits, scored 22 runs and stole 22 bases. Polites' finished with 30 hits and 16 runs scored.

Junior Josh Prasko returns to anchor the Colts pitching staff. The 6-foot, 165-pound right-hander will be supported by freshman Scott Serafin. Serafin is a 6-foot-3, 190-pound RHP who throws hard according to Bonatesta.

The Colts will also rely on strength in its infield in 2013. Junior 1B Evan Waldon returns following a 2012 season in which he committed no errors and hit .325. Sophomore Joey Olish returns at 2B after hitting .349 as a freshman and will add depth to the Colts pitching staff.
