Ben Wyland is a 6-foot-4, 200-pound RHP/3B from Altoona HS. The unsigned senior has a projectable power pitcher's frame and tops at 86mph from the mound. Wyland also commands a 74mph curveball and a 75mph changeup with good arm side run. He is an athletic prospect who hit .379 in 2012 while also going 5-0 on the mound in 47.2 innings of work. His eight starts resulted in four complete games and a 2.64 ERA. Wyland was the MVP of the Curve Classic last spring that showcased Division I recruits from three separate schools.
