Twice a week during the high school season, we will post scores from around the coverage area with highlights. Results will be posted on Tuesdays and Fridays, with Tuesday's post including results from the previous Friday, Saturday and Monday and Friday's post including results from the previous Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. To ensure that we get your score, make sure to submit it on GameChanger, MaxPreps, or to us directly. If a player had a big day, be sure to submit to us so that we can highlight his performance.

Senior Noah Lerman (Sewanee) was 3-5 with a grand slam and 5 RBI, 2 R, and 2 SB. Todd Dearborn was 4-4 with a BB, 2B, 2 R, and a SB.

Atlantic Shores Christian 11, Broadwater Academy 1
Jared Kercher carried a no-hitter into the 4th inning and threw a complete game 2-hitter with 10 strikeouts for his 7th victory of the season. Shores hitting was led by Niall Doherty (George Washington) with 2 hits and 3 RBI. Kercher had 3 hits and an RBI, Jon Sawyers (Old Dominion) had 2 hits and an RBI, Jason Smith had 2 hits and RBI, and Mitchell Kelly had 2 RBI.

Ethan Roth (Johns Hopkins) earned the win, throwing the first six innings while allowing no earned runs. Andrew Keane picked up the save and the offense got key hits from Roth, Austin Burgess, Sam Velleca, and Drew Posner.

The Seahawks won the Metro Conference Tournament Championship with the win. Junior Jon Sawyers (Old Dominion) was dominant through 4 2/3 innings, allowing the Patriots only 1 hit and no earned runs while striking out 6. Sawyers has allowed only 1 ER in 22.1 innings this year (0.313 ERA). Tanner James earned the save, getting the last 2 outs in the 7th inning. Shores was led offensively by Austin Stevens (Chowan) and Jared Kercher with 2 hits each, and James had 2 RBI. Jon Sawyers, Niall Doherty (George Washington) and Reid Celata had 1 RBI each. Celata also struck out 4 in 1 2/3 innings of work on the mound.
