Team Georgia 14u 1: Game Two Recap

Georgia’s bats came out firing early in game 2 against Ohio. Matthew Franatovich led things off in the top of the first with a leadoff single to right field and a stolen base. Following a walk by Lee Holt, Jaylen Seabrooks gets a hold of one and sends it out for a 3 run homer giving Georgia a 3-0 lead. In the top of the 3rd, Georgia added on to their lead after capitalizing off of a balk and a Matthew Franatovich RBI single. This puts Georgia up 5-0 over Ohio. Matthew Westbrook helped contribute to Georgia’s win with a dominant performance. He went 2 innings with 3 strikeouts. The Ohio bats started to find some rhythm until Jake Brannon came in to get Georgia out of a jam and shut down the Ohio bats throughout the rest of the game. He went 2.2 innings with 3 k’s. Georgia’s offense found some more runs after capitalizing on some walks, putting Georgia out in front 11-3 and taking game 2 bringing them to 2-0 on the week.
