4A Tournament
 

Sectional 2:

Chesterton 11 Crown Point 7 – Pat Tilden went 2-4 with a double, two RBI, and three runs, Anthony Kurek was 3-5 with two RBI, Travis Brooks was 2-5 with two RBI and two runs, and Matt Kubacki was 3-4 with a RBI. Kubacki got the win throwing 5.1 innings allowing two earned runs, five hits, and struck out four.

Merrillville 8 Hobart 3 – Omar Ramirez threw a complete game to get the win allowing three runs on seven hits, striking out four. Terrance Grayson went 2-4 with a double, two RBI, and two runs, Darius Kendall was 2-4 with a double, two RBI, and a run, Vejer Cox was 2-4 with a double and a RBI, Jon Streck hit a solo homerun, and Ryan Brady was 1-3 with a RBI.

 

Sectional 3:

Penn 5 SB Adams 0 – Skylar Szynski threw five shutout innings to get the win allowing one hit and striking out five. Tim Lira homered and drove in two runs, Brandon Stesiak was 2-3 with a double, two RBI, and a run, Brooks Ullery doubled and scored, and Trevor Waite was 1-2 with a run.

Sectional 4:

Concord 6 Goshen 0 – Jake Vernon threw five shutout innings to get the win. Brett Austin tripled and drove in three runs and Brett Austin drove in two runs.

Northridge 10 Elkhart Central 8 – Sam Troyer had two hits, drove in three runs and scored twice, Bryce Miller scored twice, and Landon Fishers drove in two runs.

 

Sectional 6:

FW Wayne 4 FW South Side 3 F/8 – Braxton Riley went 3-3 with a double, RBI, and two runs, Jerry Mullins doubled and drove in a run, and Jacob Fisher was 1-4 with a RBI. Eli Mason went 7.1 innings for a no decision allowing one earned run, seven hits, and struck out four. Howell got the win throwing the final two thirds of an inning, striking out one.

 

Sectional 7:

McCutcheon 13 Lafayette Jefferson 7 – TJ Harmon went 2-3 with two doubles, three RBI, and two runs, Mason Bruce doubled, drove in three, and scored twice, Braden Giroux was 2-3 with a RBI and two runs, Tyson Schuemann was 1-3 with a double, two RBI, and a run, Sean Roginski was 1-3 with a double, RBI, and two runs, and Isaiah Keiser had two RBI.

New Castle 5 Greenfield-Central 2 – Garrett Welch got the win throwing 6.1 innings allowing one earned run, five hits, and struck out seven. Jared Heard homered and drove in two runs, Welch and Kenny Martin each went 1-4 with a double, RBI, and a run, and Casey Bertram went 1-3 with a RBI.

Terre Haute South 10 Plainfield 3 – Timmy Herrin got the win throwing five innings allowing three runs on two hits, striking out nine. Grant Ellis went 3-4 with a homerun, three RBI, and two runs, Herrin was 3-4 with a double, RBI, and a run, Justin Jenkins went 1-3 with a RBI and two runs, and Connor Shipley was 1-4 with two runs.

 

 

3A Tournament

Sectional 18:

Andrean 12 New Prairie 0 – Stone Brogan threw all five innings allowing two hits and striking out seven. Noah Davis was 2-2 with two doubles, three RBI, and a run, Clay Thompson was 2-3 with two RBI, Kevin McCune was 2-2 with a double, RBI, and two runs, and Nick Podkul went 1-1 with a double, two RBI, and three runs.

 

Sectional 19:

Culver Academies 3 Glenn 2 F/9 – Jack Benner went 3-4 with the game winning RBI single, Zach Moffett was 2-4 with two runs, Patrick Samila was 2-4 with a double, RBI, and a run, and Holland Thornton was 1-2 with a RBI. Moffet got a no decision throwing 5.1 innings allowing two runs on five hits, striking out four. Thornton threw the final 3.2 shutout innings to get the win, striking out one.

SB St. Joe 4 Rochester 1 – Ryan Fraser got the win throwing a complete game allowing one run on six hits, striking out six. Tony Carmola went 1-3 with a RBI and a run, Wes Short was 2-4 with a RBI, Max Harrison was 2-3 with a run, and Daniel Torres was 1-4 with a RBI and a run.

 

Sectional 20:

West Lafayette 8 Maconaquah 2

Benton Central 12 Twin Lakes 1 – Marcus Patterson got the win throwing six innings allowing one run on four hits. Henry Fisher was 3-4 with a homerun, three RBI, and three runs, Brett Shoults was 3-3 with a double and two RBI, Jake Matson homered and drove in three, Joel Huff homered and drove in three, and Blake Morin was 2-4 with two runs.

 

Sectional 21:

Wawasee 7 Whitko 3 – Aaron Voirol got the win throwing a complete game allowing three runs on six hits, striking out seven. Caleb Dingeldein led the offense picking up two hits and driving in three runs.

Sectional 25:

Crawfordsville 10 Western Boone 0 – Dane Baldwin threw five dominant innings to get the win, striking out 12 and allowing five hits. Sam Page was 2-4 with three RBI and a run, Michael Minks doubled and drove in three runs, Trent Johnson was 2-3 with a RBI and a run, and Chase Dowell was 1-2 with two RBI and a run.

Frankfort 3 Lebanon 0 – Leo Lopez threw a no hitter in the win allowing one walk and striking out 14. Miller was 1-3 with two RBI, Smith was 1-1 with a run, Santon doubled and scored, Valdes tripled, and Lopez was 1-2 with a run.

Greencastle 11 Indiana Creek 4 – Kaleb Fleming went 3-5 with two doubles, three RBI, and three runs, Ryley Cook was 2-4 with a RBI and a run, Tanner Nicholson and Anthony Rossok each went 2-5 with a RBI and a run, Trey Scanland was 2-4 with a double, two RBI, and a run, and Brandon Workman was 1-3 with a RBI and two runs. Nicholson got the win throwing five innings allowing three earned runs, four hits, and struck out six.

 

Sectional 29:

Batesville 14 Rushville 1 – Brett Westerfeld was 3-3 with two doubles, four RBI, and two runs, Kollin Macke was 2-4 with a triple, four RBI, and a run, Connor Schuck was 2-4 with a double, RBI, and a run, Bryan Hoeing was 1-2 with a solo homerun and three runs, and Wyatt Schebler was 1-4 with two RBI. Schuck got the win throwing five innings allowing one unearned run, six hits, and struck out eight.

Whiting 13 Bowman 2 – Kyle Kompier got the win throwing five innings allowing one earned run, seven hits, and struck out six.

Hebron 14 Bishop Noll 6 – Chad Patrick went 4-5 with two doubles, two RBI, and three runs and Zac Hernandez was 4-5 with three RBI and a run.

 

Sectional 34:

Lafayette Central Catholic 11 North Judson 0 – Anthony Beruman was 3-3 with a double, four RBI, and a run, Luke Schrader was 1-2 with two RBI and a run, Jackson Anthrop went 1-1 with two RBI, Coy Cronk was 1-3 with a RBI, and Ben Metzinger had a RBI and a run.

Delphi 16 Rensselaer Central 3

 

Sectional 35:

Bremen 15 Fremont 4 – Andrew Cullers was 3-5 with four RBI, Ryan Topper was 2-3 with two RBI, Bryce Cassel was 2-4 with a triple, three RBI, and four runs, Justin Baker was 3-5 with a double, two RBI, and a run, and Dustin Vuittonet was 1-3 with a RBI and two runs. Pedro Lopez got the win throwing five innings allowing two earned runs and six hits.

Westview 4 Prairie Heights 3 – Westview scored four in the bottom of the seventh to get the win, capped by a walk off single from Chase Anderson. Jake Berky went 2-3 with a RBI and a run, Houston Haney was 1-3 with a run, and Derrike Johns had the tying RBI. Haney struck out 10 throwing six innings allowing two runs on six hits.

 

Sectional 36:

Churubusco 9 South Adams 3 F/8 – Churubusco broke the game open with a six run top of the eighth. Drew Buffenbarger was 2-3 with three RBi and two runs, Josh Howk was 3-4 with two doubles, a RBI, and three runs, and Jackson Wickliffe homered and drove in two runs. Devin Peters got the win throwing seven innings allowing one earned run, four hits, and struck out 14. 

Woodlan 1 FW Canterbury 0 F/9 – Shawn Kitzmiller was dominant throwing a nine inning complete game allowing just one hit and striking out six. Ben Schwartz singled Austin Fancher to win the game in the bottom of the ninth.

Alexandria 3 Eastern 2

Madison-Grant 10 Tipton 0 – Dakota Brooks threw all five innings allowing two hits and striking out eight to get the win. Hoyt Young was 2-2 with two doubles, two RBI, and a run, Levi Bott was 1-2 with two RBI, Brooks was 2-3 with a double and two runs, and Colin Mitchener had two RBI and a run.

 

Sectional 40:

Lapel 13 Muncie Burris 0 – Kyle Hawkins threw a five inning no hitter to get the win, striking out 12. Brady Chert was 3-4 with two doubles, a homerun, and two RBI, Nolan Clark was 3-3 with three doubles, a RBI, and two runs, John Magers was 2-3 with a double, two RBI, and three runs, and Chase Sizemore was 2-2 with two RBI and a run.

Wapahani 3 Winchester 2 – Wapahani trailed 2-1 going to the bottom of the seventh. Grant Thompson hit a solo homerun to tie the game and Wapahani won when Zach Thompson scored on a wild pitch. Jared Coats doubled and scored. Hayden Castor threw a complete game to get the win allowing one earned run, two hits, and struck out seven.

 

Sectional 41:

Northeastern 7 Centerville 4 – Kessler Fishers went 2-3 with a double, solo homerun, and three runs, Craig Dingwerth was 2-2 with a triple and two RBI, Garrett Dill was 1-3 with a RBI and a run, and Tyler Dale was 1-2 with a RBI and a run. Dingwerth got the win throwing five innings allowing one earned run, three hits, and struck out five.

Hagerstown 7 Cambridge City 3 – Sam Reagan got the win striking out 16 in a complete game win allowing one hit and no earned runs. Drew Pyle doubled and drove in two runs, Reagan was 1-3 with two RBI, Trey Kelley and Dylan Woolard went 2-4 with a RBI and two runs, and Owen Golliher was 2-4 with a double and a run.

 

Sectional 43:

Irvington Prep 16 Manual 6 – Aaron Arnold went 3-4 with two doubles, a triple, three RBI, and two runs, Blake Linkous was 2-4 with a double, triple, RBI, and a run, Jordan Aynes triples, drove in two, and scored three times, Isaiah Arnold was 2-2 with a double, RBI, and a run, Jake Carter was 2-3 with a RBI and two runs, and Alex Arbuckle was 1-3 with a triple, RBI, and two runs.

Cardinal Ritter 13 Triton Central 0 – Kyle Matter threw all six innings allowing just one hit and striking out seven to get the win. Blake Malatestinic was 3-3 with three RBI and two runs, Tommy Waites was 2-3 with a double, two RBI, and a run, Griffen Miller was 1-3 with two RBI, Matter was 2-3 with a double and a RBI, Alex Vela had two RBI, Isaac Wynne was 1-4 with a RBI and three runs, and Brian Bacon was 1-2 with a RBI and a run.

 

Sectional 44:

Monrovia 5 Cloverdale 1 – Evan Burgess got the win throwing a complete game, striking out 12 and allowing one run on six hits. Sam Whitaker was 1-3 with two RBI, Burgess was 1-4 with two RBI, Carson Shelton was 1-2 with a run, and Austin Clark was 1-3 with a run.

Speedway 12 Covenant Christian 6 – Cameron Knight was 1-4 with four RBI. Jonathon Willoughby was 1-2 with a double, two RBI, and three runs, Collyn Carson was 1-2 with a RBI and a run, and Sam Ahrens was 1-2 with two runs. Willoughby got the win throwing five innings allowing one earned run, three hits, and struck out six.

 

Sectional 45:

Austin 10 North Decatur 0 – Tanner Craig threw a complete game shutout to get the win allowing three hits and no walks. He also had a big game at the plate going 3-4 with a double, triple, grand slam, five RBI, and two runs. Dakota Staschke was 2-3 with a RBI and a run, Trent McClellan was 1-3 with a RBI and a run, Gavin Napier was 1-3 with a double, and Josh Helton scored three times.

Milan 6 Southwestern 0 – Brennan Tinker got the win throwing a complete game shutout allowing two hits and striking out six. Shawn Fox was 1-3 with a double, RBI, and a run, Chase Holton was 1-3 with a RBI, Luke Rehn was 1-4 with a RBI, and Jordan Horgeman was 1-3 with two runs.

Morgan Township 14 Marquette Catholic 7 – Jake Koselke went 3-4 with a triple, four RBI, and two runs, Connor Martin was 2-4 with four RBI, Colin Mack was 2-4 with a double, three RBI, and two runs, and Nick Conner was 2-3 with four runs. Mack threw a complete game to get the win allowing three earned runs, seven hits, and struck out six

 

Sectional 50:

North Miami 6 West Central 2

Pioneer 6 Caston 0 – Tucker Waddups threw a one hit complete game shutout to get the win, striking out 12. Levi Grandstaff went 2-3 with a double and three RBI and Chad Clifford had a RBI.

Elkhart Christian 9 Lakewood Park 3 – Drew Overmyer got the win throwing a complete game. Jakob Maxwell had two hits and drove in two runs, Luke Walter doubled and scored twice, and Overmyer drove in two runs.

Lutheran 15 Waldron 0 – Spencer Owens threw all five innings allowing just two hits to get the win. Austin Klase was 2-3, Austin Mays was 2-3 with a RBI, Addison Robertson was 2-4 with a double and a RBI, Cody Moncel was 2-4, Seth Hougesen was 2-4 with a RBI, and Jake Reid was 2-3 with a double and two RBI.

Borden 14 South Central 7 – Lucas McNew, Cory Anderson, and Travis Konerman all homered in the win.

 

Sectional 63:

Barr-Reeve 3 Loogootee 1 – Trevor Yoder got the win throwing a complete game allowing one run on four hits, striking out seven. Logan James doubled and drove in a run, Connor Swartzentruber was 1-2 with a run, Jalon Graber had a RBI, and Will Scott was 1-3 with a run.
