Season Outlook
B-CC is turning has plenty of new faces for 2016 after graduating a large senior class form the 2015 season. Leading the way for the Barons is senior SS Elliot Ginns.  Ginns, who hit .455 with 23 runs scored, 18 RBI, and eight doubles, will be the team leader and is the only returning senior starter in the lineup.  The other returning starter from last season is sophomore OF Sebastian Mieses, who was a unanimous 1st Team 4A south selection in his freshmen season. Mieses hit .361 with 23 runs scored, 19 RBI, 10 doubles and one home run.  Both Ginns and Mieses will play large roles in the lineup once again hoping to improve upon their great 2015 campaigns. Junior Spencer Hacker should improve upon his .244 batting average in 50 at bats from last season. Keep an eye out for senior Ben Macher who is returning to the Barons after injury shut down his 2015 season.  Other players that should contribute include senior Spencer Sampson behind the plate, senior OF Alex Mieses, and junior 1B Jared Kaplan.

On the mound the Barons will have to replace their top two pitchers from 2015 in Chris Krawczyk, and Jake Baldwin. The two graduated players combined for 60% of the innings pitched on the mound for B-CC with 90 strikeouts. Leading the returners are Alex Mieses and Hacker. The older Mieses pitched 18 innings and went 2-2 last season in 6 appearances and has the most returning innings on the mound. Hacker went 3-0 with a 4.34 ERA in just under 10 innings as both pitchers look to head up the staff. Keep and eye on Seniors Ryan Dimmick and Lucas Narel-Aguilar along with juniors Kaplan and Cullen Magner to add depth to the staff and contribute innings. It will be an inexperienced squad for 2016, but keep an eye on the always competitive Barons to have a solid year.
