As we prepare for the upcoming 2016 high school season, we will be taking a glimpse at programs from around the state.

Season Outlook
Boonsboro is poised for an interesting season after making the move in 2016 from 2A down to 1A for the upcoming season. The offense will be led by three key seniors in Blake Dougherty, Devin Griffith, and Dalton Stewart. Stewart, a UMBC recruit that is also a preseason All-State select by PBR Maryland, is one of the top hitters in the state and overall athletes.  He hit .400 with 19 RBI, 16 stolen bases, with 21 walks. Griffith hit .385 with 17 RBI as the middle infield partner with Stewart. Dougherty is a dangerous option from the left side and hit .364 with 14 stolen bases in 2015. Keep an eye out for juniors Brooks Keller, Andrew Mathias, Logan Saunders, and sophomore Ben Burgan to also see increased roles this upcoming season for Boonsboro.

On the mound the Warriors are going to have to find the replacement at the top of the rotation after the graduation of Zayne Blickenstaff. Last year Stewart solidified the bullpen as the closer and led the team with three saves and should once again solidify the bullpen.  Keep an eye on Colton Bare to have a big season on the bump for the Warriors. Keep an eye on the Warriors as the season progresses and they establish their staff to be a potential contender in 1A.
