Prep Baseball Report Kansas/Missouri held the Underclass Invitational East at The Sports Barn in Wentzville, Missouri on January 31. Over 75 players in the 2018 and 2019 attended.

In the days to come, we will break down each position, taking a look at the outfielder's performances today.  Player profiles have been updated with video and stats from the event.  Click on each player to see their profile.

Outfielders

Cadence Allen, Francis Howell, 2018
Allen is a 5-foot-8 145-pound left-handed hitting outfielder.  Allen ran an 8.50 60 an has an exit velo of 60 mph.  At the plate, starts in balanced position, in line stride, short to contact, middle/oppo approach.  I the outfield, 67 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, clean exchange and release, fluid footwork.

Anthony Altobella, Vianney, 2018
Altobella is a 6-foot-1 185-pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  He ran a 7.63 60 and has an exit velo of 84 mph.  Offensively, has an athletic stance, controlled front leg lift, in-line stride, level path to extension, gap-to-gap approach, showed power to pull side, aggressive swing with smooth rhythm.  In the outfield, 79 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, fluid footwork with clean exchange.

Bruce Bixler, Francis Howell Central, 2019
Bixler is a 5-foot-7 140-pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  He ran a 8.06 60 and had a 71 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced set up, no wasted movement in load, minimal hand movement, level bat path, gap-to-gap approach, repeatable.  In the outfield, 67 mph positional velo, high three-quarters release, quick transfer and throw, fluid footwork, plays through the catch.  

Dawson Colombatto, Fort Zumwalt West, 2018
Colombatto is a 5-foot-11 155-pound left-handed hitting outfielder.  He ran a 7.20 60, one of the fastest for the event, and has a 78 mph exit velo. At the plate, separates hands and stride to load, body controlled throughout swing, some pull power with slightly up hill bat path, quick/loose hands.  In the outfield, 77 mph positional velo, over the top arm slot, works behind the ball, plays through catch.

Justin Dietiker, Troy Buchanon, 2019
Dietiker is a 5-foot-8 130-pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  He runs a 7.19 60, one of the fastest for the event, and has an 77 mph exit velo. At the plate, athletic set up, loads in back leg, closed stride, line drives to the middle of the field during batting practice. In the outfield, 70 mph positional velo, loose over the top release, plays through the catch, quick catch and throw with momentum. 

Michael DiPiazza, Vianney, 2018
DiPiazza is a 5-foot-9 165-pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  He ran a 7.57 60 and had an 83 mph exit velo. At the plate, starts in balanced position, quick and short stride, slightly closed, middle to pull side line drives, balanced finish.  In the outfield, 76 mph positional velo, high three quarters arm slot, long arm circle, quick catch and throw, quick footwork, accurate throws. 

Gage Dwyer, Fort Zumwalt South, 2018
Dwyer is a 6-foot 194-pound left-handed hitting outfielder.  Dwyer ran a 7.47 60 and has an 87 mph exit velo, tops for LHH. Starts in open stance at the plate, in line stride, hits with leverage, power to pull gap, showed ability to use oppo gap, quick bat, level path to extension, solid consistent contact during batting practice, good round of batting practice.  In the outfield, 80 mph positional velo, one of top outfield velos for the event, athletic footwork, quick catch and throw, plays through ball, clean over the top release producing back spin on ball. 

Tommy Geders, Vianney, 2019
Geders is a 6-foot-1 165-pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  He ran a 7.58 60 and has an 84 mph exit velo. At the plate, smooth rhythm, short stride, minimal load, wing produced line drives to middle of field, level bat path.  In the outfield, over the top release, works behind ball, momentum through the catch, accurate throws at 78 mph. 

Brett Gonzalez, Rolla, 2018
Gonzalez is a 5-foot-11 200-pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  He ran a 6.71 60, best of the event, and had an 86 mph exit velo. At the plate, starts in athletic position, leg kick, in-line stride, aggressive and strong swing, quick and level bat path, hands work inside ball, gag-to-gap approach, power swing.  In the outfield, over the top arm slot, field ball in athletic position, ready to throw, quick exchange and release, mostly accurate throws at 85 mph, one of the top outfield velos of the event, strong and athletic build.

Andrew Keck, Vianney, 2018
Keck is a 6-foot-2 185-pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  He ran a 7.37 60 and had an exit velo of 86 mph. At the plate, starts in a wide base, minimal stride, strong and lose hands, worked middle of the field, level path to extension.  In the outfield, arm works, over the top release, accurate throws, 82 mph positional velo, one of top outfield velos for the event, quick exchange and release, athletic footwork.

Ryan Keisker, Francis Howell Central, 2018
Keisker is a 6-foot-1 190-pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  He ran a 8.69 60 and has an 80 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced stance, short stride, minimal load, oppo approach, body stays under control throughout swing.  In the outfield, over the top release, clean exchange, long arm circle, fluid footwork, mostly accurate throws.

Kobe Knisley, Timberland, 2019
Knisley is a 6-foot 160-pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  He ran a 8.09 60 and had a 70 mph exit velo. At the plate, starts in balanced position, short stride, smooth load, minimal hand movement in load, middle to oppo approach, line drives gap-to-gap.  In the outfield, over the top arm slot, quick hand to glove transfer and throw, accurate throws, 68 mph positional velo. 

Michael Kolb, Westminster, 2018
Kolb is a 6-foot-1 170-pound left-handed hitting outfielder.  He ran a 7.44 60 and had an 80 mph exit velo, one of the top LHH velos. At the plate, starts in athletic position, leg kick, in line stride, quick bat speed, showed power to pull side, gap-to-gap approach, aggressive swings.  Defensively, 74 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, plays though the ball, fluid catch and throw, made all transfers cleanly, fluid foowwork.

Chase Krogman, Liberty (Wentzville), 2019
Krogman is a 5-foot-11 155-pound left-handed hitting outfielder.  He ran a 7.25 60, one of the fastest of the event, and has an 82 mph exit velo, one of the best among LHH. At the plate, starts slightly open, uses toe tap for timing, quick hands, level path to extension, solid consistent line drives during batting practice, gap-to-gap.  In the outfield, attacks ball, over the top release, plays through ball, momentum towards target, loose arm, 86 mph positional velo, top outfield velo for the event, quick twitch athlete.

Nich Leadford, Holt, 2018
Leadford is a 5-foot-10 150-pound left-handed hitting outfielder.  He ran a 7.83 60 and has an 82 mph exit velo, one of the top among LHH. At the plate, athletic stance, minimal load, level bath, gap-to-gap line drives, power to pull gap, balanced finish, repeats swing.  In the outfield, high three quarters release, momentum through the catch, fluid footwork, quick catch and throw, accurate throws, 78 mph positional velo.

CJ Nickel, Liberty (Wentzville), 2019
Nickel is a 6-foot 175-pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  He ran a 8.07 60 and has an exit velo of 72 mph. At the plate, starts in a balanced stance, no load, mostly pull side line drives during batting practice.  In the outfield, athletic actions, over the top release, quick catch and throw with momentum, mostly accurate throws at 80 mph, one of the top outfield velos for the event.

Will Studer, Hickman, 2018
Studer is a 5-foot-8 160-pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  He ran a 7.07 60, one of the top for the event, and hand an exit velo of 73 mph.  At the plate, simple and repeatable swing, minimal load, leg kick, loose hands, level through zone, gap-to-gap approach,  In the outfield, quick footwork, crow hop, over the top release, quick and loose arm action, mostly accurate throws, 81 mph, one of the top outfield velos for the event.
