Missouri Scouting Director

Gordon Arthaud, South Callaway, 2014,6-foot-2, 185-pound LHP
Arthaud led the Bulldogs to 11-7 in Missouri Class 3 in 2013.  A loss to state champion, Fatima, in the district semi-finals ended South Callaway's season.  As the high school season ended, Arthaud began turning it on for the summer season.

Arthaud is a LHP and is very projectable.  His velocity is at 85 mph and is curveball has depth that produces a swing and miss from many hitters.  He was one of the most reliable and effective pitchers on the talented St. Louis Games 17U Blue last summer, averaging almost two strike-outs per inning.

In July, Artaud tossed five innings of shutout ball at the WWBA National Championship in Atlanta, giving up one hit with two walks and six strike-outs. His performance earned him All-Tournament honors.

South Callaway and Arthraud look to get back and win the state championship as they did in 2012.  "I want to be a dominate pitcher on the team and win state," Arthaud state as his goals for the 2014 season.

Currently, Arthaud sports a 3.3 GPA and scored a 23 on his ACT.  He looks to enroll in computer science, progamming or web development once he finds his school.
